This award-winning movie was based on the true story of a family’s adoption of a homeless black teen. The film features Sandra Bullock as Leigh Anne Tuohy, a wife and mother who takes in homeless teen Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) after passing him by while driving one day.
Despite his dubious grades and low IQ, the Tuohys begin to see the potential of their adopted son, who soon becomes a Division I All-American left tackle at Ole Miss. But the movie has been criticized for perpetuating negative stereotypes of white saviors and portraying Leigh Anne as a self-righteous, all-powerful woman.
Nevertheless, the cineb net film is still an inspiring story. Moreover, Bullock’s performance was nominated for an Oscar, earning her the praise of critics and audiences alike. The Blind Side is a must-see for fans of Sandra Bullock movies.
3. Romancing the Stone
Bullock’s goofiness was put to good use in this comedy about a tough FBI agent who goes undercover to infiltrate a beauty pageant. She steals the show with witty dialogue and a memorable performance as unkempt agent Gracie Hart.

The DVD includes two separate audio commentaries, one with Luketic, Witherspoon and producer Marc Platt and the other with Witherspoon, Platt and writer Karen McCullah Lutz. Both are very informative, though the first track can sometimes suffer from an overabundance of happy talk. The movie also features a Trivia Track that uses the subtitle area to provide pop-up-style trivia tidbits. Colors are vibrant and the image is crisp. The transfer is very strong.
5. The Object of My Affection
At the very beginning of her career, Bullock appeared in some pretty bad movies. But she was no one-trick pony — her talent extended well beyond romcoms to include dramas, sci-fi thrillers and even post-apocalyptic horror.
The Object of My Affection features a tyrannical publishing executive who invents a religion that preaches the gospel of greed and egotism. Bullock and co-star Jonathan Penner are a joy to watch, but the script just isn’t good enough to lift this one out of the doldrums.
While this movie may seem like another run-of-the-mill romcom, it’s actually a heartwarming family film. It stars Bullock as Birdie Pruitt, a woman heartbroken after her husband’s infidelity. She moves back to her hometown and reconnects with an old friend (Harry Connick Jr). Bullock and Connick’s chemistry is top-notch in this movie. The movie also features a talented cast of supporting actors.
